Rev. Lynda T. Rassmann was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The 8th of l0 children, born to the late Phillip and Murise Adams. Later the farnily moved to Egg Harbor, NJ.
She attended public  school in Mays Lmding and graduated from Oakcrest High School. She further  pursued her education at Atlantic Community College, and graduated from Glassboro State College (Rowan) with a degree in Special Education. Rev. Rassmann also completed the course of study at the Atlantic City District Ministerial Training Institute for 5 years.

Rev. Rassmann was recieved into the niinistry drning the time she was a member at St. Luke AME Church, Egg Harbor City, New Jersey under the pastoral leadership of the Rev. Kathryn M. Nixon. The late Presiding Elder Nathaniel L. Burgess licensed her to preach in 1982. Rev. Rassmann was ordained Itinerant Deacon in the Bicentennial year 1987 in the African Methodist  Episcopal Church in an Ecumenical Ordination service held at the Civic Ceater, in Philadephia, PA under Bishop Frank C. Cummings, Presiding Prelate of the First Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church.

In August of 1992, Bishop Philip R. Cousins Sr., then Presiding Prelate of the First Episcopal District, appointed Rev. Rassmann to serve as Pastor of Mt. Laurel AME Church, Yorktown, NJ. In 1993, Rev. Rassrnann was ordained an Itinerant Elder and returned to serve the people of Yorktown for seven and a half years. Rev. Rassmann was appointed by Bishop Philip R. Cousin to shepherd the flock at Grant AME Church in Chesilhurst,  NJ where she served for eight (8} years. On  March 9,2008, Reverend Rassmann was sent to pastor St Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church, Pleasantville, NJ.

Rev. Rassmann serves in the capacity as Secretary/Administrative Assistant to thePresiding Elder, Richard T. Druid in the Atlantic City District. She serves on the Committee on Orders for the new candidates entering the ministy of the Atlantic City District, and on the NJ Conference level of the A.M.E. Church. She serves as a Conference Trustee, Member of the Finance  Committee, a Member of the Board of Examiners, and was elected to serve as Delegates to the General Conference,2004, and an alternate for 2008.
In September of 2007, Rev. Rassmann was installd as the First Female President of the AME Minister's Fellowship of the New Jersey Conference.

Rev. Rassmann was employed by the Atlantic County Special Services School District as a teacher of the handicapped for 23 years. She retired from teaching in June of 2001 to dedicate herself full-time  to her church,  facilitating women's goups and the coalition of HIV/AIDS Ministry throughout the State ofNew Jersey. Rev. Rassmann is the wife of William, the mother of two sons, Mark Anthony Sr. and James, daughter in law, Cherie, and the grandmother of Brittany, Tinysia,  Erica and Mark Anthony, Jr.
